Renaming Fractions

When we rename fractions we show the same amount, but use different numbers. When we rename a fraction we do it by dividing or multiplying the top (numerator) and the bottom (denominator) by the same number.
The number of different fractions we can rename a fraction to are unlimited. However, we usually rename fractions to add, subtract, or compare fractions, so we have a number we are trying to change the numerator or denominator to.
